SB-1 Defiant

SB-1 Defiant airplane model. On June 9, Sikorsky’s West Palm Beach Development Flight Test Center hosted the SB-1 Defiant’s test flight. Test pilots Bill Fell and Ed Henderscheid reached speeds of 205 knots (230 mph), surpassing the UH-60 Black Hawk’s top speed of 194 knots (223 mph) and its cruising speed of 155 knots (178 mph). Engineered to accommodate four crew members and up to twelve passengers, the SB-1 Defiant combines impressive speed with versatile transport capability.
