Shorts 360 Allegheny Commuter

Allegheny Commuter SH-360 airplane model. The Shorts 360 is an extended, higher-capacity version of the 30-seat Shorts 330, offering 36 seats to meet growing demands. Inspired by the success of the durable Shorts 330, the Northern Ireland manufacturer began developing this upgraded model in mid-1980. The prototype took its maiden flight on June 1, 1981, followed by the first production model in August 1982. Certified by September 3, 1982, the Shorts 360 quickly entered service with Suburban Airlines in the US by November that year, delivering enhanced performance and passenger comfort.
