As an F-105 Wild Weasel fighter pilot in the Vietnam War, I experienced many moments of stark terror.
Several wingmen caught a SAM, bailed out, captured, POWs.
Why God let me survive I'll never know.
So thankful; had to do something for families, children.
I've presented "THUD" models to family survivors. Many remembrances, many tears.
