
Cessna 320 Skyknight
Item Number: C1300Cessna 320 Skyknight airplane model. The Cessna 320 Skyknight, featuring a numerical designation of 320, was created by Cessna to expand upon the success of the 310 design. With supercharged engines, the original Skyknight boasted enhanced performance. In 1963, the angled wingtip tanks were incorporated and in 1966, horsepower was increased from 260 to 285. Later models were equipped with lengthened engine nacelles for additional baggage space, an elongated cabin with larger windows, and other enhancements. Despite these added features, the Skyknight's gross weight is only 100 pounds more than the comparable Cessna 310, with a mere 100 pound difference in empty weight. However, its ability to efficiently operate at higher altitudes results in a 17% increase in cruise speed compared to the 310. Beginning in its second year of production, the Skyknight was also given alphabetic designations, starting with the 320-A and continuing through the
