The partnership between BAC and Aerospatiale, formed after an agreement between the two governments in 1962, was crucial in creating this masterpiece, building on designs from Sud Aviation and Bristol. These companies, known for their respective Super Caravelle and Bristol 233 designs, shared a passion for supersonic airliners and their similar configurations played a key role in the Concorde's success.
