Sikorsky CH-53E Sea Stallion

Sikorsky CH-53E Sea Stallion helicopter model. The Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion is the Marine Corps' heavy lift helicopter, equipped with 3 gas turbine engines and in-flight refueling capabilities. It is designed to transport material and supplies, and can easily fit on most amphibious class ships, including LHA, LPH, and now LHD ships. With a lifting capacity of up to 16 tons, it can transport loads up to 50 nautical miles before returning. This includes heavy equipment such as a 16,000-pound M198 howitzer or a 26,000-pound Light Armored Vehicle. Additionally, the CH-53E has the capability to rescue downed aircraft, including other CH-53Es, and can refuel in-flight for extended range.
