OH-58 Kiowa Warrior

OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter models. The OH-58D Kiowa Warrior, an armed helicopter in service with the US Army, is provided by Bell Helicopter Textron in Fort Worth, Texas. Approximately 375 Kiowas are active, and this single-engine, dual-bladed reconnaissance helicopter has supported US forces globally, including in Haiti, Somalia, and the Gulf of Arabia during Desert Storm and Desert Shield.

In 2002, Kiowas served with NATO's SFOR in Bosnia, and in 2003, 120 were deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom, with 29 helicopters lost. By the end of 2011, the US Army's Kiowa fleet had amassed 750,000 combat hours.
