Hughes 269 helicopter model. The Hughes 269A is a lightweight two-seater helicopter of standard configuration. The occupants seat side-by-side (the pilot sits in the right seat). The main rotor has three fully articulated blades, and the two-bladed tail rotor is of the teetering type. Its exterior aspect may not appear particularly attractive. Design emphasis is on simplicity in order to keep operating costs to a minimum.
