The Beechcraft 350 Super King Air model represents an advanced evolution of the successful King Air B200. The design process, which began in August 1981, led to the first flight of the updated 300 model in October of the subsequent year. The B200's enhancements were extensive, with a key upgrade being the replacement of the earlier models' PT6A-42 engines with the more potent PT6A-60A turboprops. Additional modifications included reshaped, aerodynamically refined engine cowls and exhausts, as well as elongated wing leading edges, alongside minor internal adjustments. Both the empty and maximum takeoff weights saw an increase.
