B-36 Peacemaker

Convair B-36 Peacemaker airplane model. TThe B-36 Peacemaker, an intercontinental bomber, was designed during WW II. Its maiden flight on August 8, 1946 marked the beginning of its legacy as a powerful weapon for the Strategic Air Command, which received its first B-36 on June 26, 1948. With over 380 units produced for the USAF by August 1954, the B-36 proved to be a vital deterrent against aggression by potential enemies. Despite never being used in combat, its presence served as a strong reminder of America's commitment to "keeping the peace."
