The OV-10 Bronco, designed by the U.S. Marine Corps and developed through a joint effort with the Air Force and Navy, is a versatile twin-turboprop aircraft known for short takeoff and landing capabilities. First produced in 1966 and flying by 1967, it has served in roles such as observation, forward air control, helicopter escort, armed reconnaissance, gunfire spotting, and light ground attack. The Air Force mainly used it for forward air control missions. Its rear compartment enhances flexibility, carrying up to 3,200 pounds of cargo, five armed troops, or two patients with a medical attendant, making it a multifunctional asset on the battlefield.
