Gulfstream GV G-5

Grumman Gulfstream V 500 airplane model. Beginning in 1989, Gulfstream Aerospace began developing a longer ultra-long range corporate jet inspired by the Gulfstream IV, unveiling the project at the NBAA convention. By the 1992 Farnborough Airshow, the initiative was formally announced. The G-V completed its inaugural flight on November 28, 1995, aiming for certification and delivery by late 1996. Provisional FAA approval came by December 1996, with full certification following in April 1997. The first customer took delivery on July 1 that year. Although based on the G-IV, the G-V features significant upgrades, including a fuselage extended by 2.49 meters (8 feet 2 inches), enhancing performance and comfort.
