ATR-42 / American Eagle

ATR-42 American Eagle airplane model. Aérospatiale and Aeritalia, now known as Alenia, formed Avions de Transport Régional under the French Groupement d'Intérêt Économique to create a series of regional aircraft. The ATR-42, the first plane from this consortium, was introduced in October 1981.
