Mig-29 Fulcrum airplane model. Released in 1972 as a replacement for the MiG-21 and MiG-23 in the fighter role, the Fulcrum has a similar appearance to the F-15 but with a smaller size resembling the F/A-18. Despite not having a fly-by-wire flight control system, the Fulcrum displays impressive agility and maneuverability. It was first flown on October 6, 1977 and entered service as the initial 'Fulcrum-A' in 1984. Additionally, two-seat trainers with combat capabilities were introduced shortly after. The 'Fulcrum-C' was equipped with a deeper fairing to accommodate internal fuel, while the 'Fulcrum-D' was specifically designed for carrier-based operations but was ultimately rejected in favor of Sukhoi's carrier-based Su-33 'Flanker'.

Mahogany Wood. Scale: 1/48. Wingspan 10 1/8 inches, Length 14 3/4 inches.
