She was then purchased by Bob Button and "Hurricane" Bob Hannah became the race pilot. The new team first raced at the 1995 Phoenix 500 event and the racer was now purple &, white with a new name, Voodoo Chile (taken from the Jimmy Hendrix recording). She qualified 4th fastest at 410+ mph. but had to pull out in lap 2 of the final Gold Race with mechanical problems.
